Why this happens in Eastpointe

Two things drive most of our calls in Eastpointe: basements and weather. Nearly every home here has one, and Michigan gives them plenty to deal with — heavy rain, frozen lines and power outages that stop a sump pump mid-storm.

Our process

What a smoke & soot job looks like from start to finish.

  1. Step 1

    Assess residue type

Dry, wet, protein and fuel soot each need a different cleaning method.

  2. Step 2

    HEPA and dry cleaning

Loose soot is removed first so wet cleaning does not smear it in.

  3. Step 3

    Detail cleaning

Walls, ceilings, fixtures, contents and HVAC components.

  4. Step 4

    Deodorize and seal

Treatment and, where needed, sealing before repainting.

Questions from Eastpointe property owners

Why does the smell come back on humid days?

Because residue is still somewhere: ductwork, insulation, an attic space. Humidity reactivates it. It needs to be found and removed.

Can I wash the walls myself?

Wet cleaning soot before dry cleaning usually sets the stain. Let us dry-clean first.

Do the ducts need cleaning?

If the system ran during or after the fire, yes.

How quickly can you get to Eastpointe?

We dispatch to Eastpointe around the clock. Call and we will give you a straight answer on when a crew can be at the door instead of a promise we cannot keep.

Do you work with Eastpointe permits and inspections?

Yes. Where the repair scope requires a permit, we pull it with the local building department and schedule the inspections as part of the job.

Need help in Eastpointe right now?

Call and you get the company that does the work, not a call center routing your job to whoever bid the most.
