Insurance claim help
Most losses we handle are insurance claims. The process is not complicated, but it moves faster and pays out cleaner when the documentation is right from hour one. That part is our job. We can bill your insurer directly, so you are not floating the cost of the work.
How a claim runs
- Step 1
Stop the damage
Emergency mitigation comes first: shut-off, extraction, board-up or tarping. Policies expect you to prevent further loss.
- Step 2
Document everything
We photograph each affected room before anything is removed and log moisture readings daily.
- Step 3
File the claim
You report the loss to your insurer. We give you the loss details, cause and scope in the format they ask for.
- Step 4
Adjuster meeting
We meet the adjuster on site, walk the damage together and agree on scope before work continues.
- Step 5
Repair and rebuild
We complete mitigation and reconstruction and invoice against the approved scope.
Claim questions
Do I have to use the contractor my insurer suggests?
No. In Michigan you choose who repairs your property. A preferred-vendor list is a referral, not a requirement.
Should I call you or my insurer first?
Call us first if water is still running or the property is open to weather. Stopping the damage is your responsibility under most policies, and it comes before the claim paperwork.
What does my deductible cover?
You pay your deductible once per covered loss. We will tell you clearly what part of the work is inside the claim and what is not.
What if the adjuster's estimate is lower than your scope?
That happens. We provide the photos, moisture logs and line-item scope and negotiate the difference directly with the adjuster.
Damage does not wait. Neither do we.
Call and you get the company that does the work, not a call center routing your job to whoever bid the most.
